Happy New Year! That’s everybody’s wish for 2012, and we feel sure that even given
the multiple economic problems currently confronting many countries, this will turn out
to be a year in which hope-in-action triumphs magnificently over depression, recession
and cynicism.

And to start as we mean to go on, Chas Everitt International will be the main sponsor of
a huge team that will be riding in the upcoming Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Cycle Tour in support
of the Give Me a Chance Children’s Foundation.

This is the first year in which the organisers of the cycle tour have decided to allow the
event to be used to raise funds for charity (see www.cycletour.co.za) and we see it as a
great opportunity to support less fortunate young people who already have great drive
and courage and just need help to access the right educational opportunities
(see www.GiveMeaChance.co.za).
As a real estate company, we are of course privileged to share the hopes and dreams of
many families and young people across the country, and we are constantly impressed by
how positive and innovative and determined South Africans are even in the face of great
obstacles.  Indeed, this is what most reinforces our belief that this is going to be the best
year in many for the local property market. And when we add this “can do” attitude to
all the other factors that SA currently has in its favour - such as a steadily growing economy,
improving employment prospects and a sound currency - we have no doubt that this
will be year to remember with a smile.

Warm property regards
Berry Everitt

2012 will be the “tipping point” in the real estate industry

Big changes coming in property marketing, says Everitt - 03 January 2012

2012 will be the “tipping point” in the real estate industry when online marketing gains more traction than traditional print and other forms of advertising.

That’s the word from Berry Everitt, MD of the Chas Everitt International property group, who says the change will be driven largely by consumers, “with home sellers becoming increasingly focused on greater exposure of their properties and the potential for faster sales, and homebuyers looking to do most of their comparative ‘shopping’ for the best value before they venture out to actually view any properties”.
